Radioisotope
Radioisotope hoods are designed for use with radioactive materials. Supplied with a smooth coved stainless steel liner with an integral dished work surface. The work surface is reinforced to support the weight of heavy shielding which may need to be utilized by the user. Supplied with the following features:
- Designed for 80-100 feet per minute face velocities
- Suitable for CAV or VAV applications
- Durable chain and sprocket sash system or stainless steel cable system
- Stainless steel airfoil and exhaust collar
- Pre-wired LED lighting
- UL 1805 Classified, CSA certified to UL 61010 and tested in accordance with ASHRAE 110
Perchloric Acid
For operations involving heating and evaporation of perchloric acid. This hood is supplied with a pre-plumbed internal wash down system with rear spray bar, control valve to match plumbing, trough and drain to remove hazardous perchlorate residues from the hood. Type 316 stainless steel liner with coved corners and an integral dished work surface is suitable for straight perchloric acid only. For other acids, PVC is available. Supplied with the following features:
- Designed for 80-100 feet per minute face velocities
- Suitable for CAV applications
- Durable chain and sprocket sash system or stainless steel cable system
- Stainless steel airfoil and exhaust collar
- Pre-wired LED lighting
- UL 1805 Classified, CSA certified to UL 61010 and tested in accordance with ASHRAE 110
Acid Digestion
For operations involving heating and evaporation of acids. Hood interior construction includes: PVC or polypropylene liner, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated sash frame, lower airfoil and exhaust connection. If the hood will be used with hydroflouric acid, then the sash glass and light lens is changed from glass to polycarbonate.
Distillation
A distillation hood is categorized by a low worktop height which results in a large working height for the operator. This allows tall distillation equipment to be installed and mounted in the work chamber. Supplied with the following features:
- Designed for 80-100 feet per minute face velocities
- Suitable VAV applications
- Durable chain and sprocket sash system or stainless steel cable system
- Stainless steel airfoil and exhaust collar
- Pre-wired LED lighting
- UL 1805 Classified, CSA certified to UL 61010 and tested in accordance with ASHRAE 110
