VIRTUAL TOUR

  • Project: Arizona State University | Biodesign Institute Building C
  • Architects/Lab Planners: ZGF Architects | BWS Architects l Jacobs Consultancy
  • Contractor: McCarthy Building Companies
  • Mott Dealer: MGC, Inc.

Located in Tempe, Arizona, the new 189,000 square-foot research facility includes five stories and is the most recent addition to the Institute’s three building innovative campus. The design and construction by ZGF Architects, BWS Architects, Jacobs Consultancy, and McCarthy Building Company is on par with the great innovation of the scientific advancements within.

The building contains a combination of laboratories, including high bay space, high hood-density laboratories, three levels of generic labs, as well as a Compact X-Ray Light Source facility in the basement. The flexible and adaptable lab spaces included several different Mott products such as custom Optima™ benches and tables, SafeGuard™ fume hoods, painted steel casework, stainless steel cabinets, work surfaces and scullery sinks, wall shelving in both wood and stainless steel, and overhead service carriers. The building is designed to drive and facilitate collaboration between researchers of multiple scientific disciplines and to accelerate their ability to drive new solutions into practice – called “use-inspired research”.

Our dealer MGC, Inc. was privileged to have played an integral part in the development and building of The Arizona State University Bio Design Institute Building C, supplying Mott and other products to one of the most innovative and important university research facilities in Arizona to date.
